Subject:OMFG I HAVE AN AGENT
Time:6:21 pm.
HOLY SHIT PEOPLE.

I HAVE AN AGENT. OUT OF NEW YORK. OMFG I'M STILL IN SHOCK.

this is my face right now:

8DDDDDDDDDDDDDD

with a shit ton of flailing. like, a SHIT TON OF FLAILING.

ahahahahahaha BUT IT'S NOT FOR SUNDERING. not yet, sorry guys. i have to forward on sundering for the agent to take a look at, but the agent offered formal representation for strykers, since, you know, that's what i queried for. the offer is also not FINALIZED yet. i have an offer on the table and you bet your goddamn ass i'm going to take it (way reputable agency here), but i also have partials and fulls out with several agents that i have to give the opportunity to review and accept or decline. that's the only fair and professional thing to do. i won't formally accept until next monday or earlier if i hear back from everyone before then.

but yeah, i queried the agent in the beginning of august and he asked for a full when i was in europe, so i sent it to him when i was out of the country, heh. i then got an email from the agent this past saturday night, which i didn't see until sunday morning. and the gist of the email made me think it was one of those phone call rejections where, if the agent REALLY likes it but thinks it needs more work and wants you to send it directly to them asap, they call. yes, that does happen, which is what i thought was going to happen here.

NOT A FUCKING REJECTION.

i'm gonna take my sailor mouth and my 8D face over here now and work on getting drunk.

Subject:Star Trek - Subtracting the Stars 6/6
Time:9:55 pm.
Title: Subtracting the Stars 6/6
Author: [info]sidara
Rating: PG-13, slash
Pairing: Established Kirk/McCoy
Summary: After jettisoning the warp drive reactor cores, getting anywhere is going to be a slow process for the crew of the Enterprise. First in what I'm calling the Fallout 'verse.
Author's Notes: It's a SHIP story, not so much a 'ship story, if that makes any sense at all.

I just want to say thanks to everyone who read this. It's been years since I've touched fanfic, and never ever this fandom before, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about how to write these characters. I'm glad, really glad, that everyone liked it and wanted to read more. It was fun to write, even if it was slightly depressing. I'm sure I killed off more people than they did in the actual movie for the end fight, but that's the way it wanted to be written. And also, I love me some space opera, and those books tend to have massively high death counts *cough* I just kind of ran with that idea. Again, thank you so much!

Subject:Happy New Years
Time:8:50 am.
wow. another year. i'm making no new years resolution because i'm pretty happy with where i am right now. hope you all are too.

now, down to business. i've had this journal for ages o.O;;; crazy to think how long i've had it and the amount of people who've friended it is kind of amazing. i just wanted to say thanks to all of you for sticking around. i know i'm totally not the best at keeping up this journal and then when i was, i had to pull everything that you were all here for. still not going to apologize for that and i'm still waiting. they said it'd be a while and i believe it.

anyway, just wanted to say thanks, and all. i'm going to try and get around to posting (probably backdating) my wk fanfic sometime this month. geez, it's been YEARS since i wrote any of them and i opened one today and just CRINGED. ugh. it's amazing to see how far i've come in that regards, but kind of embarrassing, too. so i'll get around to posting them. i don't have school right now and work is going to be taking some overtime to get through, but that's all right. i like my job.

anyway, thanks for staying! i'll try and be better at posting.

Subject:Fanfic
Time:6:05 am.
okay, so, because nin got eaten by real life ages and ages ago, she had to take down her site, which hosted my little one. she was awesomely generous for that, but since i don't write fanfic anymore (not for any bad reason, i just don't have the time right now) i doubt i'll ever get another site for it, whether on my own or through another person's generousity.

so the question is, my wk fanfic. i've had people ask about the transendence arc (holy crap i wrote that SO LONG AGO it's crazy how bad it is) and some other standalones and 'this cross we bear' that i wrote for nin's birthday ages and ages ago. how many of you would mind me eating your lj once a day or once every other day, depending on my schedule, to upload them onto this journal? they'll be completely unlocked and open, i think, or just locked under the regular friends lock (i.e. you friend me, i friend you, voila, you can read 'em) so that they're easy to access.

i know they're scattered around on other archive sites, but not all of them, and i keep meaning to get to them. i would probably start doing it after school ends, pause for xmas while i deal with my dysfunctional family, then come back and start over again on uploading them. so, comments, opinions, whatever. again, i'm 50/50 about it. mostly because i'm lazy as all hell and i hate formatting shit.

Subject:Peter S. Beagle
Time:7:15 pm.
Sorry if some of you guys get this twice.

I've known about this issue for a while now, but I saw it again on another lj. I figured I'd pass the info around.

In support of Peter S. Beagle, I ask that you go here to learn how to support this wonderful and talented writer, author, and artist. It's a terrible shame that he isn't getting paid for one of the best animated movies made. I'm probably biased, but The Last Unicorn was gorgeous to me as a child and still absolutely stunning to me as an adult. Due to contractual logistics, Mr. Beagle has not had any royalties on this movie for the past 25 years when it was, and still is, his vision and his work. Go here if you want to order the 25th anniversary edition, signed by Mr. Beagle. He will receive half the proceeds of every sale made through that site, which is far less than he deserves, but it's a start.

Subject:Animorphs: One-Shot: Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace
Time:10:09 pm.
title: Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace
rating: R
pairing: Jake/Marco
fandom: Animorphs

because i was a cruel, cruel person and inflicted this series (all 60 or so books of it) on my best friend and taunted her until she wrote me total bad wrong anific, and from there, well. let's just say that the addiction backfired because it ended up eating my brain as well as hers a few years back. and we both aren't ever going to, you know, FINISH the overall arcs, but these are the shortest stories i've actually managed to finish. so yes. my first posting of animorphs on my lj, even though the two main arcs have been sitting on my harddrive for a long time now.

it's always about the registry )
